That's for your organisation to decide, so here is what it can see. Pulses ask how the tools are working and what support would help. When a pulse is anonymous, your name isn't shown with your answers to anyone, admins included. An identifiable pulse says so before you start and shows your name with your answers, and you can close it and answer nothing.
What it's forLink to this section
The GAiGE helps your organisation decide which AI tools to keep and where people need learning. It records nothing about how long you spend on a page or how many prompts you send.
It does that by putting answers together across teams to spot patterns, such as "Marketing rates Notion AI highly, and Engineering doesn't" or "A$500 a month of seats goes to people who never use the tool". Most of the questions are about how the tool is working. Some, such as the AI Capability Check, ask how confident you feel with a tool and what would help, so your organisation knows where learning would make a difference.
What your organisation can seeLink to this section
You can skip any pulse, and you can choose not to install the extension. Your organisation can see whether your extension is installed. On an anonymous pulse, no screen shows whether you answered; on an identifiable pulse, your answers appear with your name.
When a pulse is anonymous, your name isn't shown with your answers to anyone, admins included. In a small group, or from something you write in a comment, someone may still be able to work out an answer is yours. Keeping comments about the tool, rather than your own situation, makes that harder. See Who sees my answers? for the detail.
What a useful answer looks likeLink to this section
The most useful thing you can do is say what happened, including:
- "I lost time because of it", when a tool wasted your morning
- "I forgot it was available", or on the AI Capability Check "I'm not sure what it can do", when that's what happened. Answers like these point your organisation at AI learning, not at you.
- Low ratings, when something isn't working
- Critical comments, kept professional, as you would in an email
If several people say they haven't had time to learn a tool, that's a reason for your organisation to make time for AI learning. If twenty people across the organisation say "I lost time because of it", that's a reason to look hard at the tool.
Answer when it suits you. Even one or two answers a week help.
If you're worriedLink to this section
- Ask your manager or People team directly how the organisation uses the answers.
- Read your organisation's privacy notice. Your organisation may have a privacy notice for The GAiGE; ask your People team for it.
- Check each pulse's first screen. It says whether your answers are anonymous or identifiable before you answer anything.
